Allen co-founded several companies, now serves as an investor and adviser to startups, and is on the board of directors of a NYSE company. A frequent speaker at business events, she speaks about startup strategy and how to effectively innovate and commercialize new technologies.

Dr. Allen is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Technology Commercialization at the University of Southern California and is the founding director of the USC Marshall Center for Technology Commercialization. Her husband is an entrepreneur and they have four grown children; two are entrepreneurs.
