CARS can be one of the hardest sections to improve on your own. You can pretty easily end up stuck and spinning your wheels. You can do passage after passage and feel like you’re getting nowhere.

Sure, it’s easy enough to find random strategies and tips online, but those often don’t help much. Doing lots of passages, tracking your answers, reading the Economist…that isn’t necessarily going to make much difference. If you do 100 passages but you don’t really know what you’re doing then you’re probably not going to get any better!

Sometimes it feels like CARS is some kind of innate talent that you’re either born with or not. But that’s not really true. Ultimately, CARS is a skill that you can learn just like any of the other sections on the MCAT.

I know this because I’ve worked with hundreds of students at all skill levels and seen them make great improvements. Maybe you’ve taken the test once before (or even a few times) and your CARS score has been stuck at the same point. Maybe you’ve done every CARS passage on the market and you’re not sure where to go from here. Wherever you are, I’ve seen it before, and I’m sure I can help you too.

My one-on-one CARS tutoring is largely focused around working through CARS passages together. That allows me to get a sense of exactly where your weaknesses are and how we can best address them. I’ll also assign specific passages to work on and give you additional resources to help you get the most out of those passages.

I hold all sessions online through the video conferencing platform Zoom, so you’ll need to have a good internet connection and a working webcam.
